This drink is one of the Boothby Top 50 Drinks of the Year 2022 — you can see the full Top 50 here.

“With the surge of Margarita [interest] coming back into the bar, we wanted a fun and fruity riff to suit our venue that guests would enjoy,” says this drink’s creator and Rude Boy bar manager Etien Celzner.

And whilst the Spicy Margarita does seem to be the drink du jour, we reckon that it’s the miso and mango addition in this drink that has punters coming back for more.

Tajin Tommy's

Ingredients

  • 60ml Szechuan-spiced reposado tequila
  • 30ml lime
  • 22ml miso, mango & red chilli spiced agave

Instructions

  1. Shake all ingredients and serve in a rocks glass over ice.
  2. Garnish with a tajin rim and seven-spice coated fried rice paper.
