What a big week it has been, in no small part because the week began with a bang. We held our last big event of the year, the fourth annual Boothby Drink of the Year Awards, at an exclusive, invite-only celebration at Acapulco El Vista in Sydney’s Circular Quay this past Monday night.
I love this Drink of the Year event — it’s one last chance to get the best and brightest bartenders from around Australia into one room, and to look back on the drinks they’ve made a mark with this year. And I reckon that the drinks on the Top 50 make for one of the all time great drinks lists.
It’s some impressive work from Australia’s finest bartenders.
Below, we’ve got stacks of photos from the night — thank you to Christopher Pearce for capturing all the action.
A big thank you to all of you who made it down to celebrate, to our great sponsors for making it all possible, Pasan Wijesena from Earl’s Juke Joint for the tunes, and to the Maybe Group and the team from Acapulco El Vista for the great drinks and spectacular venue.
