Have you heard? Bartenders’ Weekender is landing in Adelaide this June, from Sunday 14th to Tuesday 16th.
Adelaide is one of my favourite places to visit for drinks in Australia — the bar scene is all about indie bars with great drinks and unique concepts. It’s also home to great wine bars, and some of Australia’s best places to eat.
And you might be able to score not just an all-access pass to all things happening at Bartenders’ Weekender this June, but also pick up flights and accommodation for the duration of the Weekender, with the Bartenders’ Weekender Scholarship program.
There are 10 scholarships on offer, with eight Australian bartenders, plus one each for bartenders working in Singapore and in New Zealand.
You’ll score return flights to Adelaide, three nights accommodation at the five star Sofitel Adelaide, $500 in spending money, a ticket to the Better Bars Summit presented by Monkey Shoulder, invite to the Boothby Best Bars SA Awards, and a ticket to the rather glam Drinks 100 Australia Awards Gala on the final evening.
The Scholarship is something that both myself and Penny Sippe are really proud of and excited about — last year’s group of Scholarship winners even put on their own bar takeover, showcasing their skills and talents to the community. The Scholarship is all about encouraging connection and inspiring the next generation of bar and hospitality leaders.
