The Cablegram is essentially a Buck — which is a Highball made with ginger ale — but made with rye. This recipe takes the Milk & Honey route of using a housemade ginger syrup that is topped with soda, though to make it simpler, reach for some good ginger beer.

Cablegram recipe
Ingredients:
60ml Archie Rose Rye Malt Whisky
15ml fresh lime juice
20ml ginger syrup
Soda to top
Crystallised ginger to garnish
Method:
Pour 60ml of Archie Rose Rye Malt Whisky into your shaker tin.
Then add 15ml of lime juice.
Next, add your ginger syrup.
Shake all ingredients hard with ice.
Strain over ice in a Collins glass, and top with soda.
