The Cablegram is a rye whisky Highball we love
Rye and ginger is an all time great.
The Cablegram is essentially a Buck — which is a Highball made with ginger ale — but made with rye. This recipe takes the Milk & Honey route of using a housemade ginger syrup that is topped with soda, though to make it simpler, reach for some good ginger beer.

Ingredients:
- 60ml Archie Rose Rye Malt Whisky
- 15ml fresh lime juice
- 20ml ginger syrup
- Soda to top
- Crystallised ginger to garnish
Method:
- Pour 60ml of Archie Rose Rye Malt Whisky into your shaker tin.
- Then add 15ml of lime juice.
- Next, add your ginger syrup.
- Shake all ingredients hard with ice.
- Strain over ice in a Collins glass, and top with soda.
