This drink is adapted from a cocktail created by Audrey Saunders at her 2005 New York bar, Pegu Club; it is a riff on the Manhattan genre, one which accentuates the sweet vermouth with the artichoke earthiness of Cynar.

Ingredients
- 60ml Canadian Club 1858
- 15ml sweet vermouth
- 20ml Cynar
- a cherry to garnish
Method
- Add the Canadian Club 1858 to the mixing tin.
- Pour in the sweet vermouth and Cynar.
- Stir all ingredients with ice.
- Add a cherry to a chilled cocktail glass.
- Strain the cocktail into the glass and serve.
