“First listed on the menu at Black Pearl in 2022 and still available on request today,” says its creator, Felix Woods. “Currently on the menu at Reine & La Rue, since mid 2024. Apollo Inn also recently put a version of it on their list. The drink came about when a customer at Pearl asked for an Espresso Martini “with some mint in it” and it turned out brilliantly. Having recently been playing around with the classic ‘Café Royal Frappé’ cocktail, I decided to serve it and name it after that style. Delish!”
Café Frappé
- 30ml vodka
- 30ml fresh espresso
- 25ml coffee liqueur
- 10ml Averna
- 5ml crème de menthe
- 5ml vanilla syrup
Whip with a few ice pebbles, pour into highball, fill with crushed ice, garnish with mint sprigs & icing sugar.
